Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak cut in bite-size cubes
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method

  1. Pat the steak dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over high heat.
  2. Sear the steak 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking (145°F for medium), then remove.
  3. Lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and garlic, then add the shrimp and cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Return the steak to the pan, add the lemon juice and parsley, and toss everything in the garlic butter for 1 minute.
  5. Serve hot on its own or over rice or pasta.

Notes

Cajun version: add 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning. Serve over pasta or rice to stretch it, or with a salad for a lighter plate. Store up to 3 days in the fridge.
