Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method

  1. Pat the salmon and shrimp dry and season both with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sear the salmon in the olive oil for 4 to 5 minutes per side, until it reaches 145 degrees F and flakes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the shrimp to the same pan and cook 2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  4. Add the butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and lemon juice, and toss the shrimp in the garlic butter for 1 minute.
  5. Return the salmon to the pan, spoon the garlic butter over the top, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Do not overcook the shrimp, since they turn rubbery fast. Cook the salmon to 145 degrees F. Serve this garlic butter salmon and shrimp over rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.
