Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.75 tsp freshly ground black pepper be generous
  • 0.25 tsp paprika

Method

  1. Whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Cover and chill at least 30 minutes, ideally a few hours or overnight, so the flavors meld and the pepper blooms.
  4. Serve cold with chicken fingers, fries, or anything you like to dip.

Notes

The generous black pepper and the chill time are what make it taste like the real thing. Keeps in the fridge up to 1 week in an airtight container. Use light mayo for a lighter version.
